Adding Clients Directly to a Service
Updated 9/15/2026
You can now add new or existing clients directly to group courses, memberships, communities, and workshops without requiring them to enroll or complete checkout.
This is especially useful when a client has already paid you directly, you're giving someone complimentary access, or you're moving clients over from another platform.
Once you add a client, Cohere automatically gives them access to the service and sends the onboarding emails and delivery you've already set up.
How to Add Clients Directly to a Service
From your Business Dashboard, open a service you've already created. You can then add a new or existing client directly to the service in just a few steps.
Add a client: https://app.cohere.live/dashboard
1. Open the service
Open the group course, membership, community, or workshop where you want to add the client.
You can add clients to an existing service without changing the service's enrollment or payment settings.
2. Click Invite
Click Invite in the top-right corner of the service.
This opens the options for giving clients access to the service.

3. Select Add Clients
Click Add Clients.
You don't need to send the client an enrollment link or ask them to complete checkout. You can add them directly from here.

4. Choose a new or existing client
You can add either:
An existing client who is already in Cohere
A new client who isn't in Cohere yet
If the client already exists, select them from your client list.
If they're new, enter their details to create the client and add them to the service at the same time.

5. Add the client to the service
Complete the steps shown to add the client.
Once added, the client receives access to the service without going through the normal enrollment or checkout process.
6. Cohere handles the onboarding automatically
After the client is added, Cohere automatically applies the onboarding and delivery you've already configured for the service.
This can include:
Onboarding emails
Service content
Sessions or modules
Community access
Other service delivery you've already set up
There's nothing else you need to send manually.
When to Use Add Clients
Directly adding clients is useful when you want to give someone access without sending them through your regular payment or enrollment flow.
For example:
A client paid you by bank transfer after a discovery call
You're giving a client complimentary access
You're adding an existing client to a new service
You're moving clients over from another platform
You're adding an entire group of clients to a service
What Clients Experience
Clients added directly to a service don't need to:
Receive or use an enrollment link
Complete a checkout
Make a payment through Cohere
Instead, they are added directly to the service and automatically receive the onboarding and delivery you've already configured.
They'll have the same access and service experience as other participants — the only difference is that you added them directly instead of having them enroll themselves.
