How to Fix: Sessions Not Appearing on Calendar as a Creator

Sometimes, scheduled sessions on the Cohere platform may not automatically appear on your connected calendar.
Don’t worry — this can usually be fixed quickly by following a few simple steps.

📩 Note:
Sessions scheduled on Cohere and invitations sent via email should normally appear automatically in your connected calendar once the invite is accepted.

Common Reasons Why Sessions Don’t Show Up

• The session iCal file hasn’t been imported yet

• Google Calendar’s privacy update requires confirming the sender

• The event invitation wasn’t accepted or marked as trusted

Fix 1: Import the iCal File into Google Calendar

If your session invite didn’t automatically add to your calendar, you can manually import it.

Step 1: Locate the iCal File

Open your email invitation — it includes an .ics (iCal) file attachment.
Click to download the file to your computer.

                          
 

Step 2: Import the File into Google Calendar

1. Open Google Calendar.

2. In the top-right corner, click the ⚙️ Settings icon.

3. From the dropdown, click Settings again.

4. In the left sidebar, select Import & Export.

5. Under “Import,” click Select file from your computer.

6. Choose the downloaded iCal (.ics) file.

7. Click Import to add it to your calendar.

Fix 2: Confirm the Sender (Google Privacy Update)

Google recently introduced a privacy policy update that affects how events from “no-reply” emails are handled.

Step 1: Confirm the Sender

When you receive a Cohere session invite via email, open it in Gmail.
You’ll see a prompt that says “I know the sender.”

Step 2: Approve the Event

Click “I know the sender” to confirm.
After this, all future session invites from Cohere will automatically appear in your Google Calendar.
