Step 1: Basic Information

Cohere’s Memberships and Communities give creators the flexibility to build ongoing programs and spaces for connection.

You can set up a monthly membership for continuous client engagement or a community where members can connect, share, and grow together.

Clients can subscribe to your program on a monthly or yearly basis, giving you a steady and predictable income stream.

 

This guide will walk you through the first step of creating a Membership or Community in Cohere. There are five steps in total to get your space live and ready for clients.

Getting Started

From your Business Dashboard, click Create a Service on the left-hand side of the page.
You’ll be directed to the setup screen where you can create your new service.

Step 1: Add Basic Information

1. Add a Service Title

Start by giving your service a unique and descriptive name.
This will appear as your Service Title on your Cohere website and helps clients quickly understand what your membership or community offers.

 

 

2. Choose a Category

Select the most relevant category for your service from the dropdown list.
You can choose one or multiple categories that best represent your offering. The maximum number of categories you can add is 5 per service.

 

 

You can also create a Custom Tag if your preferred tag is not available by default. The steps are below: 

• Click on the Category Drop Down and scroll to the bottom. Click on Create Custom Category.

  

• A pop-up will appear, and you can add the Custom Category there and click Done.

                                           

 

💡 Tip: You can also add a Tagline (optional) to make your listing more engaging.

 

3. Select Service Type

Choose the type of service you’re creating:

• Click Membership if you’re offering a paid, recurring program with regular access to sessions or content.

• Click Community if you’re building a collaborative, interactive space focused on engagement and shared learning.

Once selected, your choice will be highlighted in blue to confirm your selection.

 

 

 

4. Select Your Preferred Language

In Step 1 of service creation, select English, German, or Spanish from the Default Landing Page Language dropdown to set the service’s preferred language.

5. Choose a Landing Page Design

Select a landing page design to showcase your service.
Click Browse to explore Cohere’s three available designs and pick the one that fits your brand style.

 

6. Attach a Banner Image/Video

Upload a banner image or a Video to make your landing page visually appealing.
Click Attach an Image/Video and select a high-quality photo or a video that best represents your service. 

 

 

7- Embed a Video Link

You can also embed a video link on the landing page by pasting the URL of the video below the section where you add the banner image on step 1 of creating a service

 

 

8. Save and Continue

Once you’ve completed all these details, click Save and Next at the bottom of the screen to proceed to the next step.
