Why It’s Relevant

In this step, you’ll set up how members will pay for access to your Membership or Community.
Cohere offers flexible pricing options so you can choose the structure that best fits your program — whether it’s free, monthly, or yearly.

This guide walks you through setting up your payment preferences and configuring key pricing settings.

Pricing Options

Free

If you want your membership or community to be free, check the box next to Free.
This is perfect for open communities or free-access groups that focus on engagement rather than revenue.

Price Per Month

Select Price Per Month if you want your membership to renew automatically every month.
Enter your monthly subscription fee, and members will be billed on a recurring basis.

💡 Tip: Monthly pricing works great for ongoing memberships that offer regular new content, live sessions, or community events.

Price Per Year

Choose Price Per Year if you prefer an annual renewal model.
Enter the yearly subscription fee, and clients will be charged once every 12 months for continued access.

💡 Tip: Offering a yearly option at a discounted rate can encourage long-term commitment from clients.

 

Payment Settings

Now that you’ve chosen your pricing option, configure your payment preferences:

• Creator Pays Processing Fees: Decide whether you (the creator) or your clients will cover processing fees by enabling or disabling this option.

• Payment Processor: Choose your preferred payment processor from the dropdown list — either Cohere Payment Processor or your Personal Stripe Account.

• Tax Type: Specify whether taxes are inclusive (included in your listed price) or exclusive (added at checkout).

💡 Tip: If you plan to use subscriptions, we recommend choosing Cohere Payment Processor, as it provides seamless recurring billing and management.

 

Save and Proceed

Once your pricing preferences are set, click Save and Next to continue.
